🥇Athletes to watch at the Olympics…

I don’t know about you, but some of my most indelible childhood memories are from the Olympics. There’s nothing quite so pure as the thrill of victory (or the agony of defeat) at the Olympics. Here’s what I’m looking forward to in Paris:

  • Katie Ledecky (she’ll swim in the 400m free finals today at 2:42pm ET and in her best event the 1,500 on Wed at 3:07pm ET)

  • Léon Marchand (France’s version of Michael Phelps who’s coached by Michael’s former coach and who shattered Michael’s last remaining world record in the 400m IM; see if he can top that time tomorrow at 2:30pm)

  • Noah Lyles (the entertaining US favorite in Track & Field’s marquis event; he’ll face Jamaica’s Kishane Thompson in the men’s 100m sprint next Sun at 3:50pm)

  • Gabby Thomas (who’s the favorite to win gold in the women’s 100m and may be even more beautiful than she is fast; see her run in the finals next Sat at 3:20pm)

  • Grant Holloway (the overwhelming favorite in the 100m Hurdles which runs at 3:45pm next Thu)

For those of us watching from western side of the pond, most of the live action will take place earlier in the day. This is the perfect opportunity to transport yourself to Paris with a lunch time meal of delightful French Onion Soup. Enjoy it while you root on your favorite athletes to gold.

Bon appétit 😋
